PSG beat Nantes for eighth straight league win

French professional soccer club Paris Saint-Germain (PSG), featuring Lee Kang-in, has won its eighth consecutive league match.

PSG defeated Nantes 2-1 at home in the 15th round of the 2023-2024 French Ligue 1 at the Parc des Princes in Paris, France, on Tuesday (June 10).

Lee started on the right wing in a 4-3-3 formation, partnering with Kylian Mbappe to lead PSG’s attack.

Lee created a counterattack opportunity in the 16th minute when he slipped a space pass into the PSG box for a diving Mbappe down the left flank, but Mbappe was unable to capitalize on the ball.

In the 25th minute, he tried to find the opposite corner of the net with a left-footed curling shot from the right penalty area, but it went just wide of the post.

Nine minutes into the second half, Bradley Barcola’s cut-back pass from the left failed to reach Mbappe, allowing Lee Kang-In to rush in on the right side of the goal and connect with a left-footed shot.

At the last second, however, a sliding defender interfered with the ball’s trajectory.

Football statistics specialist Hooscore.com gave Lee a rating of 7.07, while Footmob gave him a rating of 7.7.

PSG’s Mbappe fired a powerful right-footed shot from in front of goal just 20 seconds into the match, but the opposing goalkeeper tipped it over the bar.

PSG, who continued to threaten the Nantes goal with high ball possession (65%), took the lead in the 41st minute when Barcola fired a bold right-footed shot from the left penalty area into the opposite corner of the net.

Nantes equalized 10 minutes into the second half when Mostafa Mohamed, leaping in front of the goal from a corner kick on the left side of the box, split the post with a header.

PSG finally broke the deadlock in the 38th minute.

From a free-kick opportunity on the right flank, Lee Kang-In floated the ball into the box and Lucas Hernandez’s header was saved by the goalkeeper, but Randal Kolo Moani was there to slot home the rebound.

Riding an eight-game unbeaten streak in the league, PSG remained atop the standings with 36 points from 11 wins, three draws and one loss. 토토사이트
