Park Sang-woo and Choi Seung-bin, who will meet professionally, have the same back number, 25.

Park Sang-woo and Choi Seung-bin, who played together for four years at Konkuk University, have decided to use Choi’s number 25 in the pros.

In the 2023 KBL Rookie Draft held at Jamsil Student Gymnasium on April 21, Choi Seung-bin was selected with the 14th pick as a DB for Wonju and Park Sang-woo was selected with the 19th pick for 안전카지노사이트 Ulsan Hyundai Mobis.

At the time of their enrollment at Konkuk University, they appeared to be redundant forwards, but with their different playing styles, Park and Choi relied on each other throughout their college careers.

Park leaned more heavily on Choi Seung-bin.

“He was a really good friend, a good rival, and a motivator who taught me a lot,” Park said before the draft. I jokingly told him that I wanted to go to the same team. He knows me well, and I know him well. “I told him that I would like to wear his (Choi Seung-bin’s) number 25 if possible if I get drafted as a pro. That’s what he is to me.”

After the draft, Choi Seung-bin was asked to give a word of advice to Park Sang-woo, who will now be his opponent in the pros, and he said, “Don’t get hurt, and since you’re in the pros, try harder and do well so that we can play against each other.”

When asked if he had heard that Park Sang-woo wanted to wear the number 25, Choi Seung-bin said, “It’s a lie. I read about it in an article, and when I asked him if he was going to do it, he said yes. It’s a lie. We’ll have to see if they do or not.”

Park Sang-woo said, “I decided to wear the number 25 on my back.” He added, “Seung-bin is on a different team, but he’s always watching me and making sure I’m doing well, so I hope I do my best. I shouldn’t get injured. I know him very well (when I play against him), so I can’t use my strength, so I have to be sneaky and block him.”

Both Choi Seung-bin and Park Sang-woo told club officials at the draft that their desired number was 25. Currently, neither DB nor Hyundai Mobis use the number 25 among domestic players.

“I don’t know when I’ll get my chance, but I’ll be ready to take it,” Park said.

Choi Seung-bin said, “I can’t believe I’m wearing a green jersey again (like KU), it’s exciting, it’s fate.” He added, “I can’t wait to meet the Windy fans, and I’ll grow up and help my teammates, the DBs, and show them great plays like Choi Seung-bin.”

Park Sang-woo and Choi Seung-bin are now on different teams, but they wear the same number and have the same heart.
