SSG to play Eredia at 2 and Han Yoo-seom at 4 NC also changes lineup

SSG coach Kim Won-hyung: “We have to win, so we changed the lineup”

The SSG Landers

Who are on the brink of elimination in the fall baseball season, have made changes to their starting lineup.

SSG will face the NC Dinos in the third game of the 2023 Shinhan Bank Solar KBO League Semi-

Playoffs (best-of-five) at NC Park in Changwon on April 25.

For SSG, it’s a must-win game.

After dropping the first and second games of the semi-finals to NC, SSG will be out of the postseason with one more loss.

With nowhere to turn, SSG made changes to their starting lineup.

On this day, SSG’s starting lineup consisted of Choo Shin-soo (designated hitter), Guillermo Herridia

(center fielder), Choi Jeong (third baseman), Han Yu-seom (right fielder), Ha Jae-hoon (left fielder),

Park Sung-sung (shortstop), Kim Sung-hyun (second baseman), Oh Tae-gon (first baseman), and Kim Min-sik (catcher).

Eredia, who was batting fourth, moves to second and Han Yusum, who was batting fifth, moves to

fourth. Ha Jae-hoon, who was batting sixth, moved to the fifth spot.

Han Yoo-seom

Has been hitting well, hitting back-to-back home runs in the second game.

“We had to win today, so we changed the lineup,” said SSG manager Kim Won-hyung before the

game, “Ha Jae-hoon hit a home run in Game 1, and he has long power, so we put him in the fifth spot.”

The starting pitcher is left-handed pitcher Oh Won-seok.

Oh went 8-10 with a 5.23 ERA in 28 games this season.

NC, which is just one win away from qualifying for the playoffs (PO-5 best-of-3), also made changes to its starting lineup.

Oh Young-soo

Who started at first base until Game 2, was removed and Do Tae-hoon was inserted. Shortstop Kim

Joo-won, who had been batting ninth, moved up to the eighth spot.

NC coach Kang Myung-ho said before the game, “Oh Young-soo didn’t match up well with (SSG

starter) Oh Won-seok, so I put Do Tae-hoon at first base. We also wanted to find stability on the defense side.”

Oh Young-soo is 1-for-5 against Oh Won-seok this season.

Son As-seop

(designated hitter) and Park Min-woo (second base) will provide the offensive spark, while Park Gun-

woo (right field), Jason Martin (center field) and Kwon Hee-dong (left field) will be the center fielders.

Seo Ho-cheol (third base), Kim Hyung-joon (catcher), Kim Joo-won (shortstop), and Do Tae-hoon (first base) will follow.

Veteran catcher Park Se-hyuk has yet to get a chance to play in fall baseball. Kang said, “Park Se-

hyuk is in good shape, but Kim Hyung-jun has been playing well. For now, I think he can play better,

so I’m putting him in the starting lineup,” Kang said.

A wrist injury that sidelined him at the end of the season is also a negative for Park Se-hyuk. “His

wrist is in the process of getting better,” Kang said. He’s in the process of healing his wrist,” said

Kang, who lamented that the way he operated in the absence of the injury was not the same as at

the beginning of the season, but he hoped that “there will be something he can do later.”

Tanner Tully will start on the mound for NC.

Tanner joined NC as a substitute this season, posting a 5-2 record with a 2.92 ERA. He made one

start against SSG, giving up two runs in 5⅓ innings.

In fall ball this year, he didn’t live up to expectations in Game 1 of the WC against Doosan, giving up

five runs on seven hits (one home run) in four innings. He’ll need a different performance tonight to stand a chance. 슬롯사이트
