Annalyn Annarine used a hole-in-one to finish tied for second at the Portland Classic on the Women’s Professional Golf (LPGA) Tour.
Annarin’s tee shot on the 16th hole (par-3) went into the hole during the final round of the tournament at Columbia Edgewater Country Club (par-72) in Portland, Oregon, USA, on Friday (May 5).
With two strokes off the board, Annarin moved into a share of the lead, but had to settle for second place (20-under 268), two strokes behind Moriya Chutanukarn (THA).
Annarin carded five birdies on the day, including four straight from Nos. 4-7, to go with one bogey for a 6-under 66.
While she didn’t win, it was Annarin’s best finish since joining the LPGA Tour in 2022.
This is the first time Annarin, who has finished third three times, has finished runner-up.
She had a particularly strong showing at the Portland Classic in 2022 as a rookie, tying for third.
Isomi shot a 3-under 69 to finish in a tie for fifth place (19-under 269).
It was the rookie’s first top-10 finish since joining the LPGA Tour.
Jeon Ji-won shot 6-under par to tie for 10th (17-under par 271), giving South Korea three players in the top 10.
Moriya Chutanukarn (THA) won the tournament with a 6-under 66 to finish at 22-under 266.
Jutanukarn bogeyed the par-4 18th hole to open a three-stroke lead, but held on for a two-stroke victory over Annarin and Natalia Guseva (Russia).
Thutanukan now has three career LPGA Tour wins.
It was her first victory since winning the Hugel-JTBC LA Open in 2018 and her first in three years at the Dow Great Lakes Bay Invitational, a two-player event she won with her sister Eriya Jutanukarn in 2021.
Eriya, who shot a 7-under 65 on the day to finish tied for ninth (17-under 271), celebrated by waiting on the 18th green and spraying her sister with water.
Korean-American Andrea Lee (USA), who started the final round in the lead, dropped two strokes to tie for ninth. 메이저사이트
